    Born on 23rd May 1959, Colonel Dinesh Kumar Bishnoi, SM & BAR (Veteran) having studied Law Graduation (LLB) during 1977-1980 and after qualifying UPSC’s Combined Defence Services Examination in 1980, joined as Direct Graduate Entry as an Alumni of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun in January 1981 and was Permanently Commissioned by The Hon'ble President of India into INFANTRY /GARHWAL REGIMENT of Indian Army on 12 June 1982. Had an honour to Command an Army Infantry Battalion that is 2 GARHWAL RIFLES under Ministry of Defence, Government of India. This unit was of erstwhile The Royal Garhwal Rifles during Pre Independence. This unit was also the recipient of Two Victoria Crosses in World War I & II under the then British ruled India. Thereafter, he also commanded an ASSAM RIFLES Battalion under Ministry of Home Affairs. He also had the rare privilege to command a Military Police Unit, thereafter. During his entire Distinguished & Illustrious Career for 37 years, he was awarded Twice by The Hon'ble President of India. Now an Advocate, Colonel Dinesh Kumar Bishnoi, SM & BAR (Veteran) is now a Registered Legal Practitioner of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, presently practicing at Bombay High Court, Mumbai.

     

    ·     Achieved Excellence as Assistant Director and dealt with the Evaluation & Monitoring of Investments at Army Group Insurance Fund with an exposure to a Corpus of more than Rs.25,000 Crores (250 Billion $) apart from dealing with Top 500 Corporate Entities, all the Major Financial Institutions and Business Consortiums while also handling Debt, Default, Recovery, Restructuring, Rehabilitation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Regulatory and Securitisation Laws in almost all the Sectors.

     

    ·    Been Director of Recruiting of Indian Army at its Northern Zonal Recruiting Office and controlled all the Recruiting Activities of Army in two States.

     

    ·    Conducted Judicial Trials as The Presiding Officer of Various Summary Courts Martial in addition to being the Prosecutor, the Defending Officer and also the Judge Advocate at various General Courts Martial (Equivalent to District Court / Session Court) for all types of Civil and Criminal matters which was even empowered to award Death Sentence.

     

    ·    Handled Defence Land / Real Estate / RERA/ Property cases in various High Courts and apart from assisting Central Government Standing Counsels (CGSCs) in Supreme Court  including Title, Acquisition, Identification, Survey, Transfer, Encroachment and Compensation related cases.    

     

    ·    Handled Defence, Legal, Discipline and Vigilence Portfolios in the States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa including assisting Central Government Standing Counsels (CGSCs) in all types of Civil and Criminal Matters at various High Courts and Supreme Court.

     

    ·    Conducted Professional Lectures in various Universities and also participated in Debates at various National Forums / Legal Seminars.

     

    ·    Interfaced with Civil VVIPs Authorities including Foreign Dignitaries for Inter Services Synergy.
